Pesta Limau Bintangor Power Boat Race 2018

Pesta Selangau

September 7, 2018 - September 9, 2018

Pesta Selangau takes place at Selangau in Sibu, with the main attraction of a Rafting Challenge which was introduced in 2016, encouraging water sports such as rafting, kayaking and and radio-controlled boat racing.

Sarawak 4x4 Jamboree

September 13, 2018 - September 16, 2018

The 3rd edition of the Sarawak 4×4 Jamboree will take place from September 13 to 16, starting in the central region with Sibu before proceeding to Kanowit, Song and Kapit, crossing the wild rainforest terrain of the Sarawak interior.

Last year more than 120 participants with age from as young as seven years old to 67 years joined in the fun.

Entrance fees for the jamboree are set at RM 800.00 with the closing date for submission on August 1.

Padawan Raft Safari 2018

River Safari in Padawan is a bamboo rafting competition.  The journey down river, which will take more than three and a half hours, passes some amazing picturesque scenes and rapids which are the natural obstacles of the Safari.

The adventure of a lifetime is back.  The Padawan Raft Safari 2017, promising both local and international participants a smashing time along Sungai Sarawak Kiri in the Padawan area will beheld on 30th September 2018 (Sunday).

The much awaited annual event promises lots of fun and adventure for all nature lovers who not only will get to see the great scenery and get close up to nature along the ride down the river, the scenic breathtaking view of the evergreen jungles and the famous Giam Rapids along the route are an everlasting experience.

This tourist event is jointly organized by Padawan Municipal Council,  Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, Ministry of Tourism Sarawak in collaboration with government agencies and NGOs.

Participants will battle the river current starting from Kpg Annah Rais, Kpg Temurang and Kpg Danu (flag-off from 7:00 am to 10:30a.m. according to category)with everyone finishing at Kpg Git (closing ceremony at 3:00 p.m.).  The approximated distance for the Rafting Expert and Kayaking Category is 40 km, Men Open Rafting 26 km, Women, Government Departments and Hotels & Tour Agencies Rafting 22 km.

Sarawak Adventure Challenge

The Sarawak Adventure Challenge 2018 is a one-day multi-sport adventure race showcasing some of the best rainforests, rivers and caves of Western Borneo.

With the theme “The Sacred Mountain”, this year’s challenge combines the excitement and demands of XC MTB, trail running and a river (run / float) section. New for 2018, the SAC has expanded the team formats to include a new Relay Team category in addition to the Tandem Team category. There will be a Men and Mixed division for each team format.

This year will feature an exhilarating 52 km (40km mtb – 12km trail run ) route, in the vicinity of Kuching, with the perfect brew of Sarawak’s spectacular nature, scenic tribal villages and a mysterious ‘sacred mountain’.

Sarawak Borneo Cross Country Motorcycle Rally 2018

November 24, 2018 - December 5, 2018

This 12-day and 11-night motorcycle rally crosses borders between Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia, with participants riding across Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, through Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu and Kuching in Sarawak, Pontianak and Singkawang in Indonesia and ending in Kuching.

With a base limit of 250 CC engines and above, of mixed brands, the motorcycle rally is estimated to bring together some 200 foreign and local big bikers this year.

The rally is an opportunity for motorcyle enthusiasts from other countries to see what Borneo has to offer, while also providing a platform for local and international bikers to share in this experience together and celebrate their appreciation for big bikes.

The motorcycle rally was launched on April 1 by the Minister for Tourism, Arts, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, with 30 early bird packages at RM3,999 nett on offer to interested big bikers on a first come first served basis.

The normal participation package costs RM4,777 nett and includes full board, border crossing documentation fees, mobile support trucks and a technical team, 11 lunches and dinners, goodie bags, three rally t-shirts and one long sleeve dry fit shirt, petrol, mineral water and luggage transportation by coach. The package is all in, excluding shipping and air tickets.
