Rainforest World Music Festival 2016
A three-day music and cultural festival in Santubong of Sarawak. Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) brings together renowned world music artistes from around the world including indigenous musicians from the heart of Borneo. The songs and music often blend world music with folk, classical even rock genres.
RWMF began way back in 1998 and is today Asia's popular festival and cultural destination. RWMF is a family-friendly event with an accent on participation especially at the afternoon workshops. It has an air of festivity and fun from afternoon

How to Get There?
Fly in to Kuching using budget or national carriers. Stay at lodges, backpackers inn or hotels in Kuching or Damai. You may camp there too! Regular bus shuttle service will take you to and fro Kuching town to the festival grounds in Santubong from afternoon until after midnight. Practical Tips at RWMF
Get there early - start with lunch at the festival and stay on. Bring a change of clothes as it gets really warm in the day.
Get the festival program and mark out what you want to see in the afternoons - from workshops to mini-concerts that run at the same time at different venues - you'll be running around like mad if you do not plan ahead!
Take a picnic mat or lawn chair.
Wear something light and breezy. Temperature averages 28-32C there, and it might rain too. Be prepared!
Get friends to go with you!
