We The Fest Music - Jakarta

Billed as Indonesia’s best and biggest music and arts festival, We The Fest is being staged as a three-day presentation-celebration in Jakarta over the 19-21 July, 2019.

If you are looking for something a bit different, then take a hike to Jakarta, Indonesia  over the 19-21 July long weekend. You won’t be disappointed.

Billed as Indonesia's #1 festival for music and arts, We The Fest is set to kick off at the Jakarta International Expo or JIEXPO Kemayoran, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and will feature some 40 acts from across the world of pop, hip-hop, bass and indie musical spectra.

The show will also have food, fashion and film distractions in case you don’t like who is playing at any particular moment.

Festival organisers Ismaya Live say all the artists have been carefully selected from the very top of their respective genres. With an impressive lineup, they are continuing to assert We The Fest’s position as the go-to-festival of choice in the region.

Top performers include Troye Sivan, who has played with Ariana Grande; Anne-Marie, who has worked with Ed Sheeran; and Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat who has made mixes with stars like Selena Gomez and Kanye West.

That’s just for starters, say the organisers. It’s not all international acts but plenty of home-grown talent too, including future-bass trailblazer Jai Wolf and 88Rising success story Joji. Then there is Indonesian favourite Barasuara, Filipino sensation Jess Connelly, chart-topping Elephant Kind and indie heavyweights The Adams, and Pamungkas.

“We The Fest has always prided itself on offering much more than just great artist performances,” say the organisers, “… and this year is no different with the return of the festival’s ‘Beyond The Music’ area.” This area offers an Arts Village, Ismaya Food Town’s Eats & Beats food court, and a Cinema Club where old and new movies will be on show for the celluloid-addicted.

Then there is WTF Con where punters can interact with curated brands and media partners, and a Carnifun games section where ticket-holders can hang out and shoot the screens when they want to take a break from the music. There’s even a post office if sending selfies just isn’t cool enough for the party-goers.

The Fest is being staged at Pademangan Jakarta Pusat 14410, and for more info, tickets, details and timings, go to http://www.wethefest.com
